PCMS Clubs

PCMS will be offering the following clubs this year. If you have an interest, please see the club advisor, or email them. First come first served. Interest meetings will be forthcoming.

Junior Key Club- a volunteer service club modeled after the high school club – Ms. Ryder – Mondays in PM -  lryder@portchesterschools.org

Rainbow Alliance  –  Rainbow Alliance is a student run club which provides a safe place for students to meet, support each other, talk about issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity and expression. Generally Tuesdays in AM and Thursdays in PM mpiccola@portchesterschools.org

Astro Club – Jaime Rufo - In Astro club we will collaborate to make solar powered cars, model rockets, and practice our coding skills.  Astro club will be working towards coding and creating an original space show. Mondays in PM -  jrufo@portchesterschools.org

Select Band – Linda McDermott - a performing group for band students, grades 6 - 8, that welcome the challenge of rehearsing and performing more advanced music than they might encounter in their grade level bands. Fridays in PM- Ms. McDermott will reach out to students who are applicable

Table Top Adventurers Club – Ross Griffin – a continuation of the summer club that was offered at PCMS. Students will play games that incorporate teamwork and curiosity- Tuesdays after school – Mr. Griffin – gross@portchesterschools.org

Reading Rams - will meet after school to help show others that “Real Rams Read.” The students in the club will create monthly activities to foster a love of reading at PCMS. The goal of the Reading Rams club is to get all students and staff involved with activities focused on reading. Dates to be shared with students - Ms.Farley – kfarley@portchesterschools.org
